The feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Loyola School CBSE, Sindagi on 01/08/2024. The program began with a beautiful prayer song sung by primary school children, followed by a warm welcome to the chief guest, Rev. Fr. Josephvaz SJ, and administration members by Nida of class 2. The inauguration of the feast was marked by the unveiling of the portrait of St. Ignatius of Loyola. A spot quiz on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola was conducted by Mariyam Garde of class 7, which was followed by a skit presented by grade 7 students depicting the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The students of grade 2 mesmerized the audience with their energetic dance performance. The school teaching staff sang the theme song of the day, adding to the festive atmosphere. Rev. Fr. Josephvaz SJ, Parish priest, St. Anne’s church Vijayapura addressed the gathering with inspiring words, followed by Fr. Jeevan D'Souza SJ, who shared insights into the life and teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Principal also addressed the gathering, and prizes were distributed to deserving winners during the celebration. The program was a resounding success, and everyone left with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the life and legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
