LOYOLA PRIVATE ITI was established in 1999 at Ukkali Road, near Shivagiri, with courses in Electronics, Carpentry, and Welding trades. MMV non-formal courses were later introduced. In 2011 and 2012, Electrician and MMV NCVT technical courses were added. The center is affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training and is a subunit of the Bijapur Jesuit Educational and Charitable Society. Fr. Francis Menezes is the superior of this Society, and Fr. Anthony Lawrence serves as the Director and Principal.
The institute offers both Central Government recognized (Formal) and Private (Non-Formal) courses, catering to industry demands. The courses are tailored to meet the industry's needs and are recognized accordingly.

The Electrician course, a 2-year program, covers five subjects: Trade Theory, Trade Practical, Workshop Calculation, Engineering Drawing, and Employability Skills. It includes training in Electronics, House Wiring, Motor Rewinding, and the Repair and Servicing of Household Appliances.
This 2-year course trains students in engine parts repair, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, vehicle service, and more. The course includes partnerships with Mahindra, Ashoka Leyland, and Shodha Toyota for advanced education. It covers both petrol and diesel vehicle maintenance and includes water service training in the first year and driving training in the second year.
This 1-year course provides training in computer programming, data entry, and the use of Microsoft Office, DOS, Internet, uploading, downloading, and more. It is suitable for students who have completed the 10th grade.

All students are required to wear the prescribed college uniform. ITI students must wear a gray-blue top shirt in the workshop, accompanied by black shoes.
Monthly exams are conducted in the first week of each month, with results distributed in the second week. Two annual exams are held over two years. Students must participate in the All India Vocational Examination scheduled by the Government.
90% attendance is mandatory to appear in the final examination. Absences due to illness must be accompanied by a leave application and a doctor's note, with the Principal's permission.
