CNFE in collaboration with Loyola ITI and Akshaya Shakti inaugurated Pragati Skill Training Center and Fashion Design Programme at St. Anne’s Hall. The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Dionysius Vaz, the president of BJECS, Fr. Francis Menezes, the Vice President of BJECS, Fr Joseph Vaz Monteiro, Fr Antony Lawrence and Fr. Teyol Machado, the Director of CNFE. Ms Mahananda the fashion designing teacher was honored for her services. The students who had finished their training were awarded certificates. This initiative at the new premises aims to empower women and adolescent girls towards self-employment. As of now 35 students have enrolled and are divided into two batches. Through this skill training programme, the students are learning to stitch, design and beautify the wardrobes.
